The trigger lies always within us and not on the outside
Sometimes we realize that things within the family do not really go the way we would like them to go. That could be conflicts between parents and or children or reoccurring patterns, which are triggered by certain behaviour. Every one of us feels triggered by something. If we realise why we feel triggered, patterns can dissolve very quickly. Suddenly the dynamic shifts. The best evidence that the trigger always lies within us and not on the outside, can be explained by the example of a temper tantrum: If we are in our "zen", nothing can trigger us, and we react with empathy and love towards the biggest temper tantrum of our child. If we are not "zen", we feel triggered and attacked and react irritated and in a reactive way. Same situation on the outside, completely different situation on the inside. Thus, the trigger is not the behaviour of our children like often assumed.
